News Desk: Health and Family Welfare Minister Sardar Md. Sakhawat Hossain Bakul said, 'Health cards will be distributed within the next 3 months. This is a scientifically sound digital card, through which all records will be kept, starting from your body's genes to where you were seen by a doctor. If you go to a doctor anywhere in the country, you don't have to say anything, the doctor will understand your problem just by looking at the card. '
He made these remarks at a relief distribution ceremony among the needy and poor people on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr at the Monohardi Upazila Parishad Hall in Narsingdi on Wednesday (March 18) afternoon.
Speaking as the chief guest at the event, the minister said, "We have started implementing the election promises we made. You have already seen that we have kept our word by distributing family cards. We will distribute these cards across Bangladesh in phases every month. 10,000 taka of farmers' agricultural loans have been waived off with interest. In addition, farmers' cards will be given to you within the next month. In this way, we are starting work with a vigilant eye in every ministry. So that the people benefit. We are trying to give some good to this world in return for the votes you have given, so that you understand that those whom you have made MPs by voting for are accountable to you. We also have accountability, including keeping track of you. This government is a responsible government."
The Health Minister further said, 'The previous government did not leave even 10 taka of funds in the Ministry of Social Welfare. Yet, out of this, we have allocated 3 million taka for mosques, temples, and cemeteries in each union. We have started working for the people. If you cooperate, we will be able to give the gift of a beautiful society free of corruption and drugs, God willing.'
