Md. Nasir Uddin (Special Correspondent) : Amir of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, Awami League has died politically through the revolution achieved by the students.
He said that Sheikh Hasina has destroyed not only the country but also her party Awami League in the last 15 years. With the escape of Sheikh Hasina, all activities of her party Awami League have stopped.
He also said that there is no person in Awami League who can lead the party or lead the party. Because Awami League does not practice democracy. Awami League does not understand democracy and does not believe in democracy. They have confined politics to individuals or families.
Democracy is practiced only in Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami. Jamaat-e-Islami understands democracy and believes in democracy that is why the leadership of Jamaat-e-Islami is not limited to individuals or families like other parties.
On Thursday (September 26) at the Diploma Engineers Institute in the capital, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said these things.
Dr. Shafiqur Rahman also said that Jamaat-e-Islami could not be finished even after killing the top leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami in the name of justice and imprisoning numerous leaders in false cases. Fascist Awami League banned Jamaat because of this.
He said, if the interim government is successful, this revolution of students and people will be successful. Therefore, the interim government should continue to provide meaningful cooperation.
Regarding the election roadmap, he said, two roadmaps should be announced. First of all, what will they reform, how will they reform and for how long will they reform.
Those who want to divide the nation are referring to the enemy of the nation. Shafiqur Rahman said that for the national interest, we should forget all the differences and take an oath to build the country unitedly for the national interest.
Amir of Dhaka Metropolitan South md. Nurul Islam Bulbul presided over the gathering. Dr. Shafiqul Islam Masud, Central Working Council Member and Secretary of Dhaka Metropolitan South, moderated. In the president's speech, Nurul Islam Bulbul said that the people of this country got new Bangladesh in exchange for the blood of thousands of martyrs. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami wants to build a happy and prosperous country through honest and competent leadership. Wants to build a welfare state, so that 18 crore people can stand tall.
Besides, Advocate Muazyam Hossain Helal, Advocate Ehsanul Mahbub Zubair, Central Executive Council Member Advocate Matiur Rahman Akand, Bangladesh Lawyers Council President Advocate Jasim Uddin Sarkar addressed the gathering.
