(Wednesday, October 2) This human chain was held at North House Building intersection.
AB Party Dhaka Metropolitan North Member Secretary Salim Khan conducted the human chain. Md Altaf Hossain, Assistant Member Secretary of the Central Committee and convener of AB Party Dhaka Metropolitan North, spoke as a guest.
During the speech, Altaf Hossain proposed 5 points and said, publish the final list of all the martyrs killed in the Uttara area in the anti-fascist movement of 2024. Immediately construct a Martyr's Monument in the memory of the martyrs at the place adjacent to the gate of Uttara Purba Police Station
He said, stop all types of extortion, control the inter-district bus terminal, wholesale market and sightseeing places through the lease fixed by the government. Stop Harassment of passengers, appoint cleaning staff at every bus counter for passenger service.
Ensure a clean Uttara by completing the waste disposal activities within the specified time every day. Stop all terrorist activities, start special helpline numbers in every police station and ensure immediate assistance to victims.
He also said, free the footpaths from encroachment and keep the pedestrian path clear, rehabilitate the hawkers. Introduce modern traffic system by controlling vehicles and freeing illegal parking.
