Md. Nasir Uddin (Special Correspondent): The Siratunnabi (PBUH) Mahfil organized by the National Sirat Celebration Committee is going to be held tomorrow, October 5 (Saturday) at the historical Suhrawardy Udyan ground.
In the afternoon of Friday (04 October), the National Sirat Celebration Committee announced the completion of all preparations at a press conference.
Dr. Maulana Khalilur Rahman Madani, Secretary General of the National Sirat Celebration Committee, briefed the press in front of the journalists under the chairmanship of the country's senior scholar, Deen Maulana Abu Taher Jihadi Al Qasemi.
Professor Dr. was also present among others. Maulana Rafiqur Rahman Madani, Principal Maulana Mosharraf Hossain Khan, Principal Maulana Dr. Mohiuddin, Principal Maulana Shahidul Islam, Principal Maulana Nizam Uddin, Muhaddis Mahmudul Hasan etc.
In the press conference Dr. Khalilur Rahman Madani said, Siratunnabi (PBUH) Mahfil is being held on Saturday instead of Friday due to unavoidable reasons. All preparations for the event have been completed. 60 thousand worshipers can sit together in the main pandal of Mahfil.
In response to a question, Mufti Dr. Khalilur Rahman Madani said that even if it rains on Saturday, the mahfil can be conducted. Because waterproof mats are provided above and below the Mahfil pantel. As a result, the worshipers will not have any problem in the rain.
In response to another question, he said, Awlade Rasool Syed Anwar Hossain Taher Al Jaber Al Madani will be present as the chief guest at the ceremony. Besides, Mufti Ameer Hamza and top local ulama-mashayekhs of the country will present tafseer.
On the other hand, as a special attraction of the mahfil, famous artist groups and artists of the country including Saimum artist group, Mahanagar, Anupam, Jagran, Sawagat, Nimantran artist group will perform Islamic music.
After the press briefing, Ulama-Mashaikhs went to visit the temple next to Suhrawardy Udyan. There, he inquired about the preparations for the upcoming Durga Puja and their security with the president of the temple, Arpana Roy.
The Ulama-Mashaikhs said with fear that we are all helping each other to celebrate the events of all religions including the Hindu community across the country peacefully and undisturbed in the present Bangladesh than in the past.
The Ulama-Mashaikhs will stand by the Hindu community if necessary to maintain religious integrity. On the occasion of the upcoming Durga Puja, the Olamay handed over invitation cards to the Kerams on behalf of the temple committee. There emerged a bond of religious harmony.
